U2Station.com would like to notify the U2 community that the band, at the last minute, has decided to rename their new single "Strait of Dreams." An insider at U2's management stated that after the band had learned the Strait of Hormuz would re-open just in time for the single release, they quickly scrapped the original title - Street of Dreams. Furthermore, U2 wanted to time the release around the geopolitical conflict in the Middle East in order to create more hype. Unfortunately, the Strait of Hormuz still remains closed.
In this unconfirmed image, Larry Mullen Jr. is seen holding wreckage of a missile, possibly Iranian in origin, which he supposedly recovered while swimming underwater. U2 fans may recall he was holding an old television set in the "Electrical Storm" music video, as he was seen emerging out of the ocean. This ironic twist lends an appropriate familiarity to some of the band's past motifs.
U2's frontman Bono issued this baffling statement: "Just over twenty years ago, we tried to dismantle an atomic bomb. Now that has finally been accomplished thanks to our man Larry, who can double as both James Bond and a Navy SEAL - all dressed up in a tailored suit no less. Watch out Adam!"
As of now, we have no further information, so please consider this satire. 😉
