Introducing "Mysterious Ways", Bono announces: "Singers love the desert, but the desert doesn't ALWAYS love singers, so you see me drinking a lot of water this evening!" After "All I Want Is You", Bono says: "I just sang that for Larry Mullen. Not since October 1978 has U2 played without Larry Mullen Junior. So let everyone in this spherical object send love to Larry now. Wherever he is now, Agent man, sending your love! And let me introduce to you the only man we would consider standing or even sitting in for our bandmate. Ladies and gentleman: Bram van den Berg, please stand up! And to my left, the very extraordinary Adam Clayton. The only thing Adam cannot do is flap and play bass... On guitar, and everything else... and so much more, an extraordinary bandmate and friend: The Edge."
During "Love Rescue Me", as he refers to the 10/7 Hamas attacks in Israel, midway through the song Bono takes out a moment and says: "So there is a subject we can't go into tonight, because it will break everyone's hearts here, so we're just gonna close our eyes and think where you want to send that - your love. When I was young, when we were young, we used to hear, ya know, people do this - I cringed. And I said 'shut the fuck up dude'. But I just think it's the right thing to do... just be hushed and send a prayer."
