Remarks:
One night after U2 resume their U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere residency, the band performs the twenty seventh of forty shows at the Sphere at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. Attendance is 18,600; a sellout. Tickets range from $140 to $500 (for presale ticket prices) but many sell at resale prices of $400 to $1,450. The opening music act is Pauli "The PSM" Lovejoy, who is the official Atomic MC / DJ host of the UV Dance Party opening each U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere concert.
Tonight's setlist is literally identical to last night's show with performances of "Sweetest Thing" and "Don't Dream It's Over", performed during the acoustic part of the set. In the encore, Bono sings: "Everything I do... for you." These five words are sung in the beginning of "With or Without You," and it's the first time Bryan Adams's "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You" is excerpted at a U2 gig. In attendance at tonight's concert is Vice President Kamala Harris and husband (and Second Gentleman) Doug Emhoff. Also at the show are actors Henry Winkler, Judd Apatow, and Leslie Mann. Finally, Imelda May, Irish singer-songwriter and television presenter, is in attendance.
