Remarks:
U2 returned to New Orleans after a 20 year hiatus. This was also only their 5th performance in the state of Lousiana. Bono mentioned how New Orleans played a prominent role in the lives of U2 including The Edge's co-creation of the Music Rising project in November of 2005, to support local musicians who were the victims of Hurricane Katrina. A snippet of The Skids' "The Saints Are Coming" was performed after "Vertigo" (this was a song U2 performed with Green Day back in September 2006 to mark the re-opening of the Superdome). "You're the Best Thing About Me" was performed at the end of the setlist before a surprise performance of "I Will Follow" to close the concert. It was the first time on this current leg of the tour that the band played more than 21 songs.
