Remarks:
U2's final stop on the 12 date European leg of The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 stopped in Brussels, Belgium tonight. Bono stated that Belgium was where the tour "began" originally, since the the staging, event and structures engineering company, Stageco, built U2's live stages here. In the beginning chords of "One", Bono also dedicated tonight's show to Sam Shepard, the late American playwright, who passed away a day before. He had set "Bono's mind on fire" while Bono was writing lyrics for The Joshua Tree album. After "One", an excerpt of Patti Smith's "Ghost Dance" was sung (with "We Shall Live Again"), attributing Mr. Shepard's personal connections to Patti Smith from long ago. The Joshua Tree Tour 2017 resumes again on September 3 in Detroit, Michigan!
