Remarks:
U2's stop in the Washington DC area tonight was the first time in 8 years when they performed September 29, 2009 here at FedEx Field. A massive amount of DC politicians and ONE Campaign staffers were honored and namechecked tonight by Bono including: Cardinal Theodore Edgar McCarrick (dedicated for "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For"), Emma Oxford and her husband and former president of the ONE Campaign, Michael Elliott (dedicated for "One Tree Hill"), Congresswomen Kay Granger and Nancy Pelosi (for "Ultra Violet (Light My Way)") and last but not least U.S. Representative Steve Scalise (for "Bad"). For "Miss Sarajevo", there was a new video intro featuring former U.S. presidents John F. Kennedy and Ronald Reagan, in honor of World Refugee Day. The show ended strangely when Bono invited a fan up on stage after "Vertigo", who then performed a hand stand, while Larry ended with a drum roll with the band then leaving the stage.
