Remarks:
U2 ties a record for most consecutive shows on one tour with the seventh show at Madison Square Garden. This penultimate concert featured "Satellite of Love", a cover song by Lou Reed, and it was performed by Bono and the Edge. It's the first time its been performed since the ZooTV Tour on December 10, 1993. Another major surprise is Bono bringing legend Paul Simon up on stage to sing an extended version of "Mother and Child Reunion". Bono also invites two firefighters from NYC's Engine 44 and the woman who called 911 in response to Bono's bicycle accident. All three helped in getting the injured Bono medical attention, however, the woman received many boos after correcting Bono that she was from Washington D.C., not Denver, and also going after New Yorkers for not helping Bono. This long, negative tirade was an ugly scene in the show and it did not go over well with the crowd. On the positive side, the firefighters shared a glass of Jameson whiskey with Bono.
