Remarks:
MLK is dedicated to John F. Kennedy, who died 42 years ago to the day. Bono brings a young girl on stage during Mysterious Ways and gives her a piggy-back ride. 'Stuck In A Moment' is dedicated to Michael Hutchence on the 8th anniversary of his death. Patti Smith joins the band for Instant Karma again tonight, but the concert comes to an abrupt end at the end of the song. Bono leads Smith off-stage, The Edge follows while still playing the song, then Adam leaves. They come back out and sing another chorus before everyone leaves again. The house lights come on and the show is over, even though two more songs are on the printed setlist. Some fans at the show say Smith looked like she was feeling ill on stage.
I have never seen a rock and roll band close a show with a song that was not their own. Pathetic! I hope there is a good excuse for what they did.
Extremely dissappointed!!!!!!!!!How does a band with so many great songs end their last show in Madison Square Garden with a song that is not one of its own.
