I was one of a select few at this gig (about 50 in all). the poor attendance was due, in large part, to a strike by Bristol’s bus drivers.

If I remember correctly (perhaps someone will tell me if I don’t), U2 were to be support to Fashion at this gig but Fashion didn’t turn up (not the only time they failed to show up in Bristol so I may have mis-remembered).

Bristol’s finest, The Electric Guitars, supported U2 who were particularly fine, despite the small crowd - we were pretty enthusiastic anyway.
