Remarks:
U2 made a triumphant return to the stage kicking off the Joshua Tree Tour 2017 in Vancouver, Canada. The band opened the main set with several classic hits from the War and The Unforgettable Fire albums from the B stage (shaped like the Joshua Tree logo) before performing the Joshua Tree album in its entirety. Furthermore, U2's longtime photographer Anton Corbijn created original videos for all 11 songs from the Joshua Tree album displayed on a gigantic video screen in crystal clear definition behind the A stage. The encore was composed of some latter day U2 hits from the Achtung Baby and ATYCLB albums. Finally, to close the show, U2 performed a new song, "The Little Things That Give You Away," which Bono introduced as "a Song of Experience," referring to the name of U2's next album. As the song concluded, a photograph of U2's next album cover was displayed on the screen (depicting Bono's son Eli holding hands with Edge's daughter, Sian, who was also wearing a military helmet).
