Remarks:
U2 returns to Belfast, Ireland for the first time since August 26, 1997, making it over 18 years since the band last performed in this city (on the PopMart Tour). This is also U2's first show in a week since the last 2 of the 4 shows in Paris were cancelled due to last week's terrorist attacks. The show was emotionally charged, not just in light of the recent chaos in Europe, but also because the band was playing in a city long-ravaged by bombings and other atrocities. "Raised by Wolves" was especially meaningful, with new visuals being screened and now dedicated to both the north and south regions of Ireland. "Sunday Bloody Sunday" was performed for the first time in 28 years in Belfast, since the Joshua Tree Tour (and before that, it was in 1982 on the War Tour). The White Out Belfast movement was in attendance showing solidarity to the victims in the Paris attacks, and the French flag colors lit up the audience while fans wore white t-shirts displaying #StrongerThanFear (this and the image of the Eiffel tower was also displayed on the screens during the encore break).
