Remarks:
U2 perform in South Africa for the first time in over 12 years (March 21, 1998) and in front of over 92,000 fans at Johannesburg's FNB Stadium. "Beautiful Day" is the first song performed after new introduction music of "Get On Your Boots" (Soweto Gospel Choir version). The legendary South African trumpeter Hugh Masekela comes up on stage to play with U2 during "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For". Two days after the twenty first anniversary of Nelson Mandela's prison release (and public rally), Bono dedicates "Moment Of Surrender" to him (and "Pride" includes a taped speech by Mandela as well). Finally, rather than singing during "Scarlet", Bono talks as the song is performed.
