For the first time since August 8, 2001, “Spanish Eyes” is performed in Spain. It is only the third time this song has ever been performed live since the Joshua Tree Tour ended (and sixteenth time ever in general). Tonight is also the 34th anniversary of U2’s formation as a band, when the band members met in Larry Mullen’s parents’ house in Dublin, Ireland in 1976.
