U2 finish up their week-long music series on The Late Show with David Letterman with performances of Beautiful Day (which includes a dedication to Joey Ramone and the Ramones) and Vertigo (played just for the studio audience). In addition to the songs, the band is also interviewed on the show. The following night, a recorded taping of Get On Your Boots (from Monday, March 2, 2009), is broadcast.
