U2 open the 51st Grammy Awards in spectacular fashion with the North American live debut of Get On Your Boots. Just prior to the performance, Bono exclaims "the future needs a big kiss" and a prerecorded introduction leads into the song, sampling both the "let me in the sound" passage and Bono singing the melody of The Star Spangled Banner.
