U2 pay tribute to Princess Diana, who died early that morning in a tragic car crash in Paris. They performed MLK, and the lines “sleep tonight and may your dreams be realized” took on a poignant meaning with Bono admitting to the audience that he didn’t expect that it would have affected him that much.
