U2 LEFT CONCERT-GOERS LEMONY FRESH
by Nicole Pankuch
COLUMBUS — It totally rocked. From start to finish, U2 put on a phenomenal show that could be topped by, well, absolutely nothing. Even though the concert was hyped up for so long, it did not leave a disappointing taste in the mouth as the last few strains of “One” left the stage.
Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton, and the ever-sexy Larry Mullen Jr. sang their hearts out for nearly two hours putting in the right mix of old stuff and new tunes. Now who didn’t love the “Daydream Believer” salute to the Monkees? The Edge rocks for throwing that in the right time to liven up the crowd, IF anyone was feeling sluggish by then.
Before the concert, I heard enough people gripe about paying $52.00 for a ticket. Now, for those selected gripers, I have two words for you: “puhh-shahh.” It was worth every penny.
