One of the first conerts I ever saw. There are two distinct memories. One is something I have never seen since - it was the mass of people in the crowd trying to get up on stage . It looked like a wave of humanity all trying to become part of the U2 experience.
The second thing I remember was Bono shouting during the encore that they were not Britiish - that they are "Irish Rockers" over and over again while spraying the crowd with champagne.
It was awe inspiring!
