This was my first U2 concert ever. I was 16 atthe time. It's in a small place close to Herentals in Belgium. Many other bands in their beginning came to this club.

The day of this concert was a special once, because of the anti-nuclear bomb manifestation in Brussels, which meant there was only 400 people while the capacity is about 600. The entrance was 220 BEF (4-5 US $) before and (5-6 US $) at the day. There was no support act. Some merchandising was sold: Boy t-shirts with green U2 lettering, October t-shirts, ... The concert poster was a purple one with white printing on it. About 90 % of it contains the letters U2. (Too bad my mother threw it away when was at university)

I stood on the first row on the right, just before Adam Clayton. The stage over there is only 1.20 m high so his bass came above my head several times.

I can't remember the setlist, but the regular songs at that stage were played and i thought that they also played Tomorrow at the time. I remember one of them playing a thin whistle. It was a very energetic show, with mainly white stage light and some pink and green light. Especially October and An Cat Dubh are still in my memory, but they also played Gloria, The Electric Co, A Day Without Me, ...
