I dragged my wife and a friend to this FREE show at this small open seating (standing) ballroom. What a venue to see U2 on the threshold of superstardom. I didn't even know the songs but fell in love with their music that evening.
The audience was jumping around so much that the speakers and stage looked like it might tip over (including our boys in the band!!!) It was the LAST concert ever held in the ballroom due to the safety concerns raised by such an audience reaction. What a show and what a memory.
Bono actually acknowledged those few of us who could remember that magical night during the 4-19-01 show. Love it.
