Fan Review:

By Walter Hegarty

I’m the person who booked the band, they played twice with The Virgin Prunes playing support on the second occassion. There was mention of the gig in a U2 retrospective in Record Collector magazine a couple of years ago mentioning Grannies sitting at tables and small kids running around, this was somewhat fanciful as there were no tables and the gigs were at 8.30 for 9.00! The gigs were on a Friday night as there was a disco on Saturday nights.

My memories of the gig were of the confidence of the band on stage and the fact that they had their own material between the Pistols and other covers. I also remember that they had a real manager not just one of their mates who couldn’t play an instrument.

Damn it was a long time ago!
