I saw that there were the chords to this gorgeous song on the archive but as yet nobody had transcribed the live version from the Zoo TV concerts. I transcribed it from a bootleg CD that I have but I presume that most versions would be reasonably similar. Tune down half a step. This is the main riff- E-----------------------12--------------------------------------12-----12-- B--------10--9--10----------10--9--10-------10--9--10----9--10-----10----10-9-10 G-----9-----------------------------------9----------------------------------- Edge varies it often during the verses and here are some examples of his variations.- E-----------------------12---------------12----12s/14s/12---- B--------10--9--10------------9--10-------------------------- another variation G----9---------------------------------------------------------is- E------------------------------------------- B--------10--9--10--12--10--9--10------- and so on. This should be enough for G---9--------------------------------------- you to work with Then there is the break where Edge plays some open chords. He plays A E D A and then A E D. Listen to the song for the timing. Right after he plays these chords he does something that sounds pretty much like- E---------------------0----------- B----2-------2---3-------3------- a few times. G--------2---------------------2-- He then goes back to the main riff (and variations thereof) for a bit and then he plays the following-(hopefully he does something similar on other versions as well)- E-------------------12----------------12--12s/14s/12--------------------12---10 -------10--9--10--------------9--10---------------------------------10--------- G------9------------------------------------------------------------------------ E---9--10--9-------s/12---10--9-------10--9-----------------------12--10--9--10- B-------------------------------------------------12--10------------------------ G------------------------------------------------------------------------------- E-12--10--9--10--9------------------12--10--9--10---12--12--12--12--12s/14s/12 B-------------------------12--10------------------------------------------------ G------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And then it goes back to the main riff. Even if the version you have is a bit different, the above might give you some clues. Richard Zangoli ([email protected])
