Indian Summer Sky

INDIAN SUMMER SKY ----------------- U2 Transcribed by jules. This song is almost entirely made up of harmonics. I've transcribed this from the album version but a live version I have (from Nantes, France 1984/5) is very similar - although that version is tuned down half a step. The album version is in normal tune. This is the intro riff, it's two harmonic chords repeated lots of times: E--<12>-<12>-<12>---------------------------------- B--<12>-<12>-<12>-etc---<5>-<5>-<5>---------------- G--<12>-<12>-<12>-------<5>-<5>-<5>--etc.---------- D--<12>-<12>-<12>-------<5>-<5>-<5>---------------- A-------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------- Here's the verse riff: E-------------------------------------------------- B--<12>----<12>-<12>-<12>-<12>-<12>----<7>-<5>----- G--<12>----<12>-<12>-<12>-<12>-<12>----<7>-----<5>- D--<12>----<12>-<12>-<12>-<12>-<12>------------<5>- A-------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------- that light the way... up towards the sky... E--<5>--------------------------------------------- B-----<5>------------------------<12>-------------- G--------<5>---------------------<12>-------------- D-----------<5>------------------<12>-------------- A-------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------- Edge plays this chord for 'so wind go through to my heart..' (it's not harmonics) E---7---7-7-7-7------------------------------------ B---8---8-8-8-8------------------------------------ G---7---7-7-7-7------------------------------------ D-------------------------------------------------- A-------------------------------------------------- E-------------------------------------------------- That's all the bits really just put them together and you should have everything. jules.
