U2 performed live in Madrid yesterday, sharing a stage with Backstreet Boys and Christina Aguilera as part of the prestigious Premios Amigo Awards.

Spain's El Pais newspaper carried a review of the show this morning and U2.COM hastily commmissioned an online translation of the review into English - with mixed results.

U2, between most serious and respectable within present music and with a latest disc under the arm, said when receiving their prize that with this album seted out to begin of zero, although its race gives samples to be enough beyond the principle and we very hoped that far from the end.'

'The small groups of invited clubs of fans to the finery distributed the centers of applause and were those that cheered a little in this thought spectacle more for the television than for the benefit of music.'

Maybe the technology is not quite up to it yet, so, as Spanish is one of the world's most widely spoken languages, why not look at the El Pais story in the original Spanish.
