U2 played a secret show in Paris last night to an audience of just 150, dotmusic can reveal.

The band showcased five songs from the new album 'All That You Can't Leave Behind' at the ManRay Club in Paris, playing eight tracks in total.

The crowd comprised mainly competition winners, although Mick Hucknell, who co-owns the club with Johnny Depp, Naomi Campbell and The Smashing Pumpkins were also there.

A spokeswoman for the band confirmed the band's unexpected show, which was a complete surprise to the competition winners in attendance, who had been invited to hear U2's new album.

The set was as follows:

Elevation, New York, Stuck In A Moment, Beautiful Day, Bad, Mysterious Ways, All I Want Is You, Even Better Than The Real Thing, The Ground Beneath Her Feet

The band's spokeswoman confirmed that U2 are scheduled to play an exclusive set for Radio One on Monday, at the station's Maida Vale studios. They are expected to play three tracks, again before an audience of competition winners.
