U2 has canceled its Saturday night concert in Paris, which was slated to then air as the HBO special iNNOCENCE +eXPERIENCE LIVE IN PARIS, in the wake of the tragic attacks in the city on Friday night.

The special, which would include the full concert experience, was slated to be filmed live on Saturday to air on HBO later that day at 9 p.m. ET. A documentary chronicling the band's Innocence + Experience tour aired a week prior on HBO. (The network will air the feature film Jersey Boys during that time instead.)

"As a result of the ongoing state of emergency across France, the U2 Paris concert scheduled for 14th November will not be going ahead as planned," read a statement on the band's website. "U2 and Live Nation, along with HBO who were due to live broadcast the Saturday concert, are fully resolved to go ahead with this show at an appropriate time."

As of press time, CNN has reported that at least 153 people are dead after coordinated terror attacks across Paris -- 112 of those occurred at the city's Bataclan music venue, where Eagles of Death Metal were performing on Friday night. Additionally, an explosion took place outside the Stade de France, where the French soccer team was playing Germany, claiming four lives. Fourteen are reported dead as a result of a shooting in a restaurant, Le Petit Cambodge, another 19 dead outside the La Belle Equipe bar, while four others were killed on Avenue de la Republique.

U2 did conduct a live Facebook chat earlier Friday from Paris, so they were already in town during the attacks. "We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight," the band said in a statement. "We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans. And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe."

The band's tour, which kicked off May 14, was initially slated to conclude on Nov. 28 in Dublin. No word on how that will now change.
